Your attention to your thoughts creates the very noise you wish to avoid, you cannot view stillness whilst in motion. Do not seek push nor pull. Find peace within chaos by surrendering to all that surrounds you.
In Meditation, be like a stone. A stone only knows peacefulness, that is its nature and it will rest exactly where placed. All else that occurs are the forces that act upon it.
Do not try to change the nature of what is already within you, just let go of that which is not your nature.
