Inside the Pyramid of Khafre - the middle of the three Ancient Egyptian Pyramids of Giza.
Attributed to the Fourth-Dynasty pharaoh Khafre who ruled c. 2558−2532 BC.

Dendera is the location of an Oasis on the banks of the Nile which was a significant location for temples and shrines dating back to 2250 BC. ​

The whole complex covers some 40,000 square metres and the main temple surviving today is the Hathor Temple which continued building-works up until the 2nd Century with additions by the Roman Emperors, Trajan and Domitian.

The relief carvings and paintings of dedication and service to the Gods are shown on every wall and the twenty-four highly decorated columns and feature complete astrological constellations on the ceilings. A very powerful and tangible feel to the thousands of lives spent both in service and in visiting this temple complex over four millennia.
