CYBELE - the Grace of Progress

Cybele is a mother Goddess with multiple origins within many differing civilizations. She represents the divine feminine presence that births the nature of culture, arts and crafts, philosophy and technological advancement across all professions and walks of life. Cybele represented the boundaries between the known and the unknown in which receipt of her blessings led to progress of knowledge, understandings and skills being gifted to the honoured person finding her favour. To be shown the unknown is to see the Truth of your area of focus and embody understanding within as you progress along the path of knowledge.

To understand our position in life enables a form of measurement against whether we fit in with our culture, neighbours, moral judgements, our reactions and our contributions. Society recognises our actions and behaviours and acts accordingly either through acceptance and reward, or rejection and punishment. Continuing a wrong action, a wrong speech, a wrong habit creates consequences through measurement of our behaviour. Divinity determines the true measurement in the form of Truth as it descends from the Soul as Higher Consciousness through the Higher Self, the Divine Nature of your Being. Progress helps you understand where you are in your own self development by recognising the result of your own nature and the achievement of Harmony in all your actions and words.

Persephone - The Grace of Receptivity

Persephone was the youngest daughter of Mother Nature, responsible for the abundance of the harvest, of flowers and fruits upon the earth. Whilst gathering sweet perfumed flowers in the meadows, her youth and beauty draws the attention of Hades, the King of the Underworld. He opens up a great chasm in the Earth and sweeps her away to the depths of his underground Kingdom. Mother Nature looks everywhere for her beautiful daughter, overturning mountains, flattening forests, draining seas in every attempt to find her missing daughter - causing much chaos and destruction. In her despair, she neglects her duties and the Earth suffers as crops die, animals starve and the land becomes barren and lifeless. All of a sudden, the Gods and Goddesses are faced with the fate of the world and its imminent destruction, so a bargain is struck with Hades that Persephone should be allowed to return to the World to spend time with her Mother. They agree upon six months of the year - so that Persephone may return to spend the Spring and Summer with Mother Nature on the Earth creating much mirth and merriment until the time of Harvest. After which, she must then retreat to the Underworld in the Autumn to spend time with Hades during the Winter months, during which time Mother Nature will rest in sadness lamenting and awaiting the return of her daughter at the next Spring.

To harmonise with the nature of this world is to be fully open to Divine Manifestation in whatever possible form it takes.
All of these differing forms serve a Divine purpose whether they are positive (summer) or negative (winter) in nature.
To open to the force of Divine Will and allow it to guide one's actions, whilst overcoming personal desires and Ego will, is to become a willing recipient of Divine Power flowing through you as the work that is done to achieve your Soul Purpose.

Receptivity: I call upon the Grace to surrender to the Intelligent Consciousness of Divine Will.

ALALA - the grace of Courage

Alala is the Goddess of the Battle Cry, shouted and screamed out at the beginning of battle to raise morale and invoke courage in the face of the enemy. It has become a universal human ritual across many civilizations to unite and join with others with a single voice to create a state of brotherhood in an important moment of collective unity. Alala personifies the sacrifice made by soldiers to dedicate their lives for the sake of the people they are protecting from their enemies. This Goddess bestows honour upon those who give their lives to protect others, as opposed to those who take lives in order to manipulate and control the balance of power. There are many circumstances where the individual would like to raise courage to overcome Phobos (fear and panic) and Deimos (dread and terror). To find a voice to speak out against injustice and suppression, and to be heard amongst the inner screams of silent oppression.

There are many factors and forces that create obstacles in the path of spiritual discipline. These are the lower distractions of physical desire, mental entertainment and emotional appeal which form the Ego nature.
To overcome these distractions and obstacles requires the determination to succeed, to resolve issues, to work around obstacles, to deal with conflict and opposition and to go bravely on towards victory.
To deal with conflicts, issues, addictions even if the root cause still remains present in life -eg. cancer, alcohol, drugs, abusive environments.
Courage is the result of inner work to achieve self determination and self empowerment against overwhelming odds.

Courage: I call upon the Grace to face fears, overcome adversity and find a way past all danger.
