Polaris AB: The Fable Collection of Short Stories
A young frog had made an amazing discovery of significant importance.
He gathered the other frogs around him, so that he could reveal his discovery. The other frogs waited in anticipation to hear what his announcement was all about.
"I have discovered something completely new" - he stated - "something that no other frog yet knows about. I woke up very early this morning and I watched the sun actually rise up from behind the big log at the edge of the pond".
He waited for the reactions of the other frogs.
"So what are you saying you have discovered that is new?"- said Grandfather Frog.
"Well, we now know where the sun comes from each morning. I saw it with my own eyes. It came up right out of the ground from behind the big log" - he announced with certainty.
Grandfather Frog laughed - "You have called us altogether, because you have seen something for the first time, so it is you who have discovered it and this must be new for everyone else?
The Young Frog replied indignantly - "You are an old Frog, you don't believe me just because you have not seen what I have seen. I know what I saw".
"Little Frog" - said Grandfather Frog - "you speak of what you know as being some big revelation without realising that others already know more than what you speak. By revealing what you know, you also show us how much you don't yet know. Why don't you go and sleep on the other side of the big log tonight and come back and tell us what else you discover tomorrow morning. You will soon see that the sun that shone on my grandfather is the same sun that will shine upon your grandchildren.
And the Moral of the story is:
Those that know can clearly see those that don't know.
