The Trajan Roman capital of Sarmizegetusa Ulpia founded in AD. 106 by replacing the former Dacian capital of the same name destroyed during the Roman conquest.
Partially excavated but covering a huge area and home to 25,000 veterans of the Dacian Wars. The site is largely reconstructed or 'restored' to provide an indication of the extensive building structure across the site.
My primary focus was the large amphitheatre and the Temple of the Goddess Nemesis.
