Windsor Castle, Royal Residence, UK

​Windsor Castle is the royal residence at Windsor in the English County of Berkshire, UK, home of the British Royal family alongside Buckingham Palace in Central London and Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
​Originally built in the 11th Century by William the Conqueror after the Norman Invasion of England in 1066. It has been occupied by the royal family of each King / Queen since that time.

In June 2022, I took the Long Walk from King George III statue - the "Copper Horse" up to Cambridge Gate in honourable memory and remembrance of countless souls that had given their lives and service for Queen and Country in countless wars and conflicts across the world over the last seventy years. 

Following this visit, Queen Elizabeth died at the age of 96 on 8th September 2022 after a reign of 70 years at the British throne. I have added the pictures taken of the funeral on 19th September in contrast to the pictures taken by me three months earlier in June.
